2021年度『第6回北のまんが大賞』入賞作品発表
道では、北海道の魅力発信と次代を担う漫画家・イラストレータの育成支援を目的に、漫画・イラストの公募コンテスト「北のまんが大賞」を実施しています。
６回目となる今回は、北海道を素材としたまんが作品を募集するほか、縄文に関するイラスト作品を募集しました。
いがらしゆみこ先生をはじめとする漫画家の方々や、北海道を代表するイラストレータの佐藤正人先生などによる選考の結果、次のとおり入賞作品が決定しました。

北海道知事賞
『北からロマンス』 秋空 知（大阪府）

～あらすじと総評～
皆瀬さんの引っ越しを阻止するため、北海道を好きになってもらおう！「皆瀬侑」に恋心を抱く「三海歩」とその仲間達が、あの手この手で北海道の魅力を紹介する。
はたして皆瀬さんは振り向いてくれるのか？
綺麗なイラストとキャラクターの表情、まとまりのあるストーリー構成が審査員から好評でした。
Miumi Ayumu harbours strong feelings for Minase Susumu. To stop her from moving away, he and his friends introduce her to Hokkaido’s various charms, doing whatever necessary to make her fall in love with the island – but will she really respond?
The beautiful illustration extends to the characters’ expressions, which together with the well-structured story won the judges’ acclaim.

～あらすじと総評～
冬のある日、雪かきにうんざりしていたら「ざる」に入れた雪が欲しいものに変わる不思議な現象に遭遇！雪かきが大好きになった家族は「魔法のざる」で何を得るのか・・・
高い画力で登場人物の表情や動きをうまく表現している点とテンポの良いストーリーが審査員から好評でした。
On a cold winter’s day, just as one family have had enough of snow shovelling, they discover a magic basket that turns snow into whatever the holder desires. Just what will they obtain from this mysterious basket?
The expressive, deftly drawn characters and well-paced story impressed the judges.

～あらすじと総評～
夫「冬馬」と死別した「立花盟」が、かつて二人で旅した十勝を一人旅。冬馬との思い出に触れながら自分の将来を考える物語。
丁寧な描写と引き込まれるストーリーが審査員から好評でした。
Tachibana Mei, bereaved of her husband Toma, goes travelling alone in Tokachi where the two once travelled together. Frequently coming into contact with memories of Toma, she ponders her own future as she travels.
The carefully depicted events and engaging story were well received by the judges.

『雪のキセキ』 ちあき（札幌市）
『The Miracle of Snow』Chiaki (Sapporo City)
～あらすじと総評～
二人の地元で結婚式を挙げることになった「詩帆」と「祐一」。急な転勤と仕事の疲れで式の準備に身が入らない祐一のために、詩帆は自分たちらしい結婚式をプロデュースすることになる。
ギャグやシリアス、感動のバランスのとれたストーリー構成が審査員から好評でした。
Shiho and Yuichi decide to hold their wedding in their hometown. Shiho takes it upon herself to organise a wedding that is uniquely theirs, as Yuichi is too exhausted from the daily grind and a sudden work transfer to devote himself to the preparations.
The judges were impressed by the balance of comical, serious, and emotional themes woven into the story.

～あらすじと総評～
彼氏と二人で北海道旅行に来た「福子」が連れてこられたのは“ばんえい競馬場”だった。不満だったが、現地で知り合った「アキラ」と交流を深め、初めての“ばんえい競馬”を体験する。
安定した高い画力と全体的なストーリー構成が審査員から好評でした。
On a trip to Hokkaido with her boyfriend, Fukuko is taken to a Ban’ei Horse Race Track. Though displeased at first, here she gets to know Akira and experience Ban’ei Horse Racing for the first time.
The consistently high quality of the artwork and overall story structure won the judges’ acclaim.

北海道の魅力を見つけ世界に広める！！「北海レンジャー」のかわいいキャラクター達が、道内各地の魅力を詳しく紹介してくれます。
つくりこまれたキャラクターと漫画への熱量が審査員から好評でした。
Discover the wonders of Hokkaido and share them with the world! Join the ‘Hokkai-rangers’ – a lovable bunch of cute characters – as they showcase the attractions of each region.
The judges were impressed with the well-crafted characters and the clear passion for manga running throughout.

～あらすじと総評～
北海道をテーマに「あるある」など、様々な４コマ漫画を展開します。
共感できる「北海道あるある」が審査員から好評でした。
With Hokkaido as the main theme, these four-panel cartoons are filled with references that any fan of the island will recognise.
The judges were impressed with the relatable scenarios.
