2018年度『第３回北のまんが大賞』入賞作品発表
道では、北海道の魅力発信と次代を担う漫画家の育成支援を目的に、漫画の公募コンテスト「北のまんが大賞」を実施しています。
第３回目の今回は、これまでの「まんが部門」のほか、北海道命名150年の機運醸成を図るため、新たに「北海道150年部門」を銘打った「イラスト部門」と、１５歳以下の応募作品の中から優秀な作品を表彰する「Ｕ－１５部門」を新設しました。
いがらしゆみこ先生をはじめとする漫画家の方々や、北海道を代表するイラストレータの佐藤正人先生などによる選考の結果、次のとおり入賞作品が決定しました！

北海道知事賞
『つながる空』 さとう（札幌市）

～あらすじと総評～
札幌でサラリーマン生活を送る「覚」。上司との衝突をきっかけに、久しぶりに故郷の剣淵へ。そこで改めて気づかされた、雄大な自然と両親の優しさ。そして覚は・・・・
安定した絵柄、構成、ストーリー展開と読後感の良さが多くの選考メンバーから高く評価されました。
“Satoru”spent his life as a business man in Sapporo, until a conflict with his boss causes him to return to his hometown, Kenbuchi, after a long time away. During his time there, he rediscovers the abundant nature of his hometown, and the tenderness of his parents. It’s here that Satoru decides…
The firm drawing style and structure, along with the development of the plot and the good feelings after reading were all highly acclaimed by many selection committee members.

『つかさの景色！』 なつおか 裕 （札幌市)
“The Scenery of Tsukasa!” by Yu NATSUOKA (Sapporo City)
～あらすじと総評～
北海道からの脱出を願い、上京を決心した高校2年生の「つかさ」。
そんな時に偶然出会った、大学生の「ユキト」。
彼と接していくうちに気が付かされた、つかさの本当の気持ちとは。
高いレベルの画力、演出力、ストーリー性、キャラクター性が選考メンバーから高く評価されました。
“The Scenery of Tsukasa!” by Yu NATSUOKA
“Tsukasa” is a second year high school student in Hokkaido. She hopes to get out of Hokkaido, and has already decided to go to Tokyo. It’s here that she happens to meet a university student, “Yukito.” Through her interactions with him, she comes to discover her true feelings…
High drawing skills and production values, along with the quality of the plot and characters were all highly acclaimed by the selection committee members.

『北海道・昭和の和子ちゃん』 島垣 和子（北広島市）
“Showa-born Kazuko-chan in Hokkaido” by Kazuko SHIMAGAKI (Kitahiroshima City)
～あらすじと総評～
戦中戦後の北海道の日常生活の様子を、ほのぼのと描いた4コマまんが。
個性的な絵柄と心地よい空気感、そして何よりも作者の「伝えたい」という想いや願いが感じられると選考メンバーから好評でした。
特別賞とともに、審査員特別賞も受賞となりました。

A heartwarming four-frame comic depicting daily life in Hokkaido during and after World War II.
With a highly-acclaimed, unique drawing style, and a comforting atmosphere, the selection members especially valued the author’s passions and desire to convey her feelings. As such, she received not only the Special Award but also the Selection Committee’s Special Award.

『エキセントリック・ボーイ』 川上 真生 （恵庭市）
“An Eccentric Boy” by Mao KAWAKAMI (Eniwa City)
～あらすじと総評～
医大生「コウジ」のもとに転がり込んできた、いとこの「エイジ」。中学校でのトラブルに悩むエイジを自然の中に連れ出し、再び前を向かせたコウジ。その５年後、今度は・・・・。
ここぞという場面の見せ方や印象に残るセリフなどが選考メンバーから好評でした。
Koji” is a medical student. One day, “Eiji,” his cousin, turns up unexpectedly in Koji’s life. Eiji was facing problems in junior high school and thanks to Koji, who took him out to explore the beauty of nature, Eiji got himself back on track. Five years later, their story continues…
The techniques used to draw scenes depicting just the right moment, and lines that leave lasting impressions were highly lauded by the selection committee members.

～あらすじと総評～
会社の倒産で故郷の石狩に戻った「恵美」に、仲の良かった元同僚「岬」から、突然の電話。2年ぶりに北海道で会うこととなった二人。そこで吐露される、それぞれが抱える悩みとは。
風の動きなどがみごとに表現された、背景の作画力を評価する選考メンバーが多い作品でした。
“Emi” had just returned to her hometown, Ishikari, after the bankruptcy of the company she’d worked for. Here, she receives an unexpected phone call from her former close colleague “Misaki.”They decide to meet again in Hokkaido, for the first time in two years. Their reunion reveals the problems they were facing…
This author was highly praised by many selection members for her considerable skill in drawing backgrounds, such as precise depictions of the movement of wind.

～あらすじと総評～
いじめに遭い、暗い生活を送る男の子のもとに突如転がり込んできた、アイヌの精霊「マウ」。
彼女とのドタバタの日常生活とは・・・
「マウ」の可愛らしさと、その見た目にはそぐわない、強烈なキャラクターが選考メンバーに好評でした。
Bullied at school, a boy passes day after miserable day in solitude. But then, “Mau” a spirit of the Ainu people, meets him by chance, and his knockabout exciting life with her begins…
Mau’s cute, yet eccentric character, which is completely unlike her appearance, was highly lauded by the selection committee members.
