Kiusu Earthwork Burial Circles: Stone rod excavated from a pit grave of Earthwork Burial Circle No. 4

This stone rod is a funerary item buried in a pit grave that was discovered around the northern outer rim of Earthwork Burial Circle No. 4 in June 1965. An incised line design is seen on both ends of the stone rod made of shale. It is 57 cm in length and 710 g in weight. It has been designated a tangible cultural property by the Chitose City Government.
